OSI CHEVENING  CAMBRIDGE SCHOLARSHIPS

IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES FOR

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

 

In collaboration with the Open Society Institute and the United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Cambridge Overseas Trust offers a number of scholarships to enable students of outstanding academic merit from Bosnia and Herzegovina to pursue one-year taught postgraduate courses of study at the University of Cambridge in subjects relevant to the needs of their countries.

Eligible Subjects

·         MPhil in Criminology, Development Studies, Education, English & Applied Linguistics, Historical Studies, History & Philosophy of Science, International Relations, Law, Management Studies, Philosophy, Political Thought and Intellectual History, Social Anthropology. Diploma in Management Studies.

Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and normally resident in Bosnia and Herzegovina, aged between 23-35 years; who already hold (or expect to hold by the time of taking up the award) a degree equivalent to an upper second from a UK university; have passed an appropriate English language test by the time of taking up the award; have a strong intention to return to their home country at the end of their scholarship period to continue their studies / work there. A preference will go towards applicants who have not studied outside of their home countries

 

The scholarships, tenable for one academic year, will provide for payment of academic fees, examination fees, a monthly stipend for living expenses (to be sufficient for a single student), and other agreed allowances including return economy airfare.

 

All applicants must complete a Graduate Application Form and a Cambridge Trusts Scholarships Application form by February 28, 2005 and send them to:

Copies of completed Graduate Application Forms and completed Cambridge Trusts Scholarship Application Forms should be submitted to by February 28, 2005 in order to be considered for OSI/FCO Chevening/University of Cambridge scholarships:
