Introduction
EUSR in BiH announces its third Internship
Program. The program is
intended to provide work experience and learning opportunities to
motivated young graduates who want to be actively engaged in assisting
BiH shape its future with the European Union.
Details of the Program
In this program the EUSR will involve the
interns in development and
implementation of communications strategies and campaigns designed
to
support and facilitate a broader and deeper debate on BiH and its
future
with Europe amongst the general public. The Interns will amongst
other
activities participate in the planning and conduct of the EUSR’s
outreach activities.
The interns will work alongside EUSR staff
engaged in working with BiH
civil society and other stakeholder groups, planning and organizing
related activities and coordinating amongst the EU family in BiH.
The EUSR seeks candidates for 3 Intern opportunities,
which are intended
to be opened in Sept/Nov 2009 at EUSR Sarajevo, and ending on 28th
February 2010 with a possibility of extension up to a one year period
depending the budget availability, program and performance of the
internee and at the discretion of the EUSR.
Eligibility and general conditions
· Open to recent graduates in European Studies,
Political or Social
Sciences, Media, Economics/Business or other relevant and related
subjects.
· Citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
· Not older than 30;
· Professional experience of less than 2 years;
· An active interest in European integration
process and/or involvement
in civil society initiatives/NGO sector would be an advantage;
· Interested graduates must be fluent in spoken
English;
· Willingness to travel through-out BiH and
work with people from
various cultural backgrounds;
· Non-criminal record.
Financial matters
· Internships are awarded a monthly grant,
which is dependent on
budgetary constraints and subject to local taxes due, solely at
responsibility of an Intern;
· Intern will be provided with insurance coverage
for death and disability.
Interested graduates who fulfill the above
criteria must complete (in

enclose one (1) page motivation letter, and uncertified copies of
