We would like to introduce the 9th International Summer University at Freie Universität Berlin , Germany (FUBiS 2006) in this email. Our brochures and posters for next year are out now. Your help in promoting our program would be greatly appreciated and we will send you brochures as well as posters if you provide us with your mailing address at fubis@fubis.org .
FUBiS is one of the most successful summer programs within Germany 's growing academic summer landscape. In 2005, over 450 students from 41 different countries (6 continents) studied at FUBiS in 40 content based and/or German language courses.
FUBiS will offer two different summer sessions to the international student community in 2006:
Summer Session I (6 weeks) June 3 to July 15, 2006
Summer Session II (4 weeks) July 22 to August 19, 2006
Students have the opportunity to study courses within the fields of history, architecture, German culture, literature and art, environmental policy, the development of the European Union, European Studies etc. FUBiS also complemented its curriculum with German language courses on at least five levels of proficiency. Courses are open to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students. Participants must have finished at least one year of university or college education to be eligible. Please be aware that all content based courses are taught in English by the distinguished FUBiS faculty, consisting of highly qualified international professors. This enables students to participate in this unique opportunity of studying abroad in Berlin , regardless of whether they speak German or not. They are also able to learn German as a foreign language while they are here. All FUBiS courses are part of the international European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Students will earn 4 to 8 credit points for each course.
